Impressionable youth lasts
as long as it can-
Mine has been tied to a man and a band.
He played a mean guitar, loved to drive
in his Jag-you-are.
Set my mind in motion
Liquid oceans of emotion enticing me.
So when the scene was set, I jumped right in!
A thousand bright and shiny dollars fell
into my blistered fingers.
At the same time an electronic message was sent:
"I have the object of your desire!"
And the center of the universe, once beyond my
grasp,
Suddenly came within reach.
It teaches me that connections can be real.
And now I wait, with High Hopes too-
