To Pink Floyd,

Yes, Pink Floyd ; two mere words.
Yet, to millions of people like myself,
it means more than any number of words could convey.
Your music: The extraordinary guitar riffs,
The beautiful vocals, The symbolisms, and the
ability to brazenly peer into the vast,
introspective depths of both the greatest human
darkness, as well as enlightenment; a place few
dare even to imagine.

I believe this is what truly sets you apart.
Your music has taught me, not only how to think
about the truths & untruths of life, but it has
enabled me to see, with the broadest perspective,
what it truly means to be alive; the everyday
struggles of life; the pursuits; the goals; and
how all the ambitions of a foolish people come
down to nothing;

nothing in the end.

For me to try to put my appreciation, my love,
and my eternal loyalty to your beliefs of life;
to try and put that into words, is a task that
not only am I inadequate in; but I would not
even be so arrogant as to try.

Your music is not a hobby, not just a song we enjoy listening to,
it is a way to truth; and a way of life,
for all who dare to try to understand it.

So, let me just say once and for all to David,
Roger, Syd, Nick and Richard;
for it took all of you to bring this Monster
we all know, to life.

The music will live; for it is as immortal as the
air, on which it travels.
