| HeyYou` has visited three volcanos in his first year of life (no, he has not been to Pompeii - yet) Here he sits on the middle of the Long Valley Caldera resurgent dome. The last time this volcano erupted, its size was quite large. |
It is interesting to note all of the seismic activity currently going on under this spot. It appears that it might be getting a bit antsy. Kind of reminds you of the opening bit of Cluster One. |

| Erupting over the last 40,000 years, the Mono Craters are the youngest mountain chain on the continent. This range rises 2600 feet above the surrounding countryside. The two turret cones pictured here erupted about the time of Christ. |
Panum Crater is only about 630 years old and is the youngest and northernmost of the Mono Craters. This classic example ‘plug dome' volcano sits on the shores overlooking the beautiful Mono Lake. |

| HeyYou` takes a break from the hike up and sits on the pumice debris ring of Panum Crater. Right behind him in the background is the obsidian plug lava dome. |
The obsidian plug dome of Panum Crater. No, the graffiti was not done by us. |
